The Amazing Spider-man!

Another project from the illustration course I took at Purdue Poly (2017). The objective was to reconstruct a highly valued comic book character, and take a previously drawn image and refurbish it in a new composition that would be used for a museum display, trading card version of the character etc. This was an exciting project for me from the start because I already knew that I was going to go with Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Spider-man. Spider-man was my first exposure to superheroes and comic books in general, so I was determined to do the character and the creators justice. I had decided on a doing a cover art/pamphlet type of display that could be used for a museum exhibit. We were tasked to use Adobe Illustrator for this project, and most of the design was completed using the pen tool. To further fill out the empty space, I added little snippets of panels I particularly liked from Stan and Steve's issues and lowered the opacity on them some. Definitely a fun time!
