Tiny but Mighty Twister

My first digital painting (2015). My class had access to Corel Painter for the semester, and after testing out some of the brushes I created my first digital piece. It is nothing award winning, but is special to me for not only being my first digital piece, but a piece that I created without reference. Drawing from my imagination is something I struggle with from time to time, so being able to create a scene form my head while testing out some different types of brushes was quite the experience. I had imagined a scene out of the film Twister, and thought working in a black and white aesthetic would add to the composition of a storm. Not to mention a nice lightning strike. Using lightning as a light source is always fun. Unfortunately I don't have access to the original Corel file or the jpeg file, just my printout. The uploaded image is a photo taken of the printout :)

roughly 6" x 10" in. (Tiny Twister)
